Hollywoodbets Sharks powerhouse Ox Nche has claimed the top spot in the URC Top 100, a prestigious ranking that showcases the standout performers across the Vodacom URC, EPCR competitions, and international rugby. Nche now leads the pack, with fellow South Africans Elrigh Louw and Gerhard Steenekamp following closely in second and third.

Powered by the cutting-edge StatMaster xP algorithm, the URC Top 100 analyses every match over the past year, tracking players’ performances across 16 Vodacom URC teams. The xP system calculates “expected points,” measuring how much each player impacts their team’s chances of scoring – accounting for factors like position, field location, game phase, and the strength of both teammates and opponents.

Ox isn’t flying solo – he’s part of a dominant Hollywoodbets Sharks presence, with four players making the top 20! Centre Andre Esterhuizen sits at 8th, prop Vincent Koch at 14th, and loose-forward Siya Kolisi at 19th.

Ox’s rise to the top, after ranking 5th this time last year, follows in the footsteps of fellow Springbok Shark Eben Etzebeth, Leinster’s Dan Sheehan, and loosehead legend Steven Kitshoff, who has claimed the number one spot twice before.

A massive congratulations to Ox and the entire Hollywoodbets Sharks squad – this is a huge win for the team and Warrior Nation!
