Macca Springer notched a record five tries in a game, and fellow Crusaders flyer Sevu Reece a hat-trick, while Chiefs star Damian McKenzie banked 17 points in round 5 of Super Rugby Pacific.
Springer stole the show on Saturday as the Saders ran riot in their Marvel-inspired Iron Man jerseys, thrashing the Force 55-33 in Christchurch. The 21-year-old matched Sean Wainui for most tries in a Super Rugby game, while Reece took his overall tally to 64.

The Force led three times in the first half, but their understrength side couldn’t contain the Saders’ firepower. Taha Kemara struggled off the tee before James O’Connor’s introduction at 10 after 50 minutes sparked the hosts to pull away.
